The new pop up to ask of you really want to go back to the communities list and lose progress is great, but out doesn’t prevent or show up in this case.

I’m thrilled about reactions and an glad to see them supported. Several clients specifically mention supporting piefed (Blorp, Summit) - and technically they do, insofar as Piefed’s API overlaps with Lemmy’s API - but I’ve encountered none which have yet added support for reactions.

I appreciate what the dev is doing, but I would say that we need better testing before the app is pushed onto the App Store. Last two weeks, we’ve had some annoying playback books where videos could not be unmute or scrubbed. And now the bottom five menu icons seem to disappear each time a user to go into the comment posting or post writing screen on iPad.

Anyone having the issue on iOS where Voyager won’t load your upvotes and downvotes given on your profile page?

Hello, I was trying to reply to someone the link to a community using the app but I found no easy way to do this. The share button is a link and not the c/community@instance.tld format. Is there a way ? Also my subscribed communities don’t seem to always show their instance witch is frustrating tbh. Am I doing something wrong or is this not a feature in the app?

Is this expected behaviour? Is this a setting I touched? I think it could be a neat feature to turn on or off with a button, but not as default.

When some external source (pictures/videos) fails to load there is no way to view it. It would be nice to be able to long press on an image (or via menu) and view the original link in your web browser. Is there something that I’m missing with current versions of Voyager? Thanks!

I updated to 2.43.7(?) A few days back. I noticed today that when I view any post, the UI ends up zoomed away a little bit. Almost like I’m in app switcher mode. I’ll add two examples in a moment.

This is my last effort to find a fix for this before I find a different client to use. So far I have:

I don’t know whether this is a problem with Android libraries or the app, but it does present a problem as my instance appears to convert submitted images to avif.

I have a small set of non-default settings in Voyager for iOS that I use. Every time the app updates, those settings get flushed and reset back to the defaults.

How do I hide NSFW posts from my feed?

I can see i can see other images in communities I follow. But images form @Quokk.au users dont show on the app.

I have hide NSFW selected, and I still get tons of NSFW content in my feed. Do I have to block each one individually?

Are there any plans to expand Voyager’s capabilities to include features that Piefed has that Lemmy doesn’t? Is there any way to contribute to advancing that sort of effort?

Title says it all. Communities are entirely empty, but I can access posts via searching comments in them.

I can still post and comment with Voyager, but up-/downvoting throws an error.

I have this issue where sometimes Voyager won’t load anything until I reset my router. Lemmy.zip loads fine via browser in those instances. I’ve tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the apk and cycling airplane mode and none of those resolves the issue.

It seems like in the past month or so, when I collapse a comment chain I get brought to the top of the collapsed comment instead of the bottom. I dislike that, especially for long ones. Did something change in Voyager or did I maybe change a setting without realizing the ramifications?

When posting an image post with PieFed on Voyager, the alt text isn’t being saved.

I know iOS 26 is a bit of a shitshow but it’s been even worse since it basically ruined Voyager’s navigation. Thanks for putting in the time to fix it, I’m sure it was annoying!

I got a warning from my firewall my phone was accessing by a malware site. Odd, I’m just relaxing and scrolling through Lemmy on voyager.

In the app there is a button “Random Community” which leads to random Community.

Hey Devs,

I’m having a strange issue where when I tap on things, the tap is misaligned and hits just below my intended target. Thus tapping a different UI element.

If I’m on a feed, say All, then I accidentally open the communities side bar, I cannot for the life of me work out how to close it without having to choose a feed or community, triggering a refresh.

I thought for the last few months that my comments were just being removed, but I logged into Lemmy.world just through Safari today and found all my “missing” comments.

Voyager seems to have a bug that seemingly came with the new Voyager version: after posting a comment, screen space with rounded corners / camera notch are not fully utilized and black borders appear. This effect remains until app restart. App remains fully usable, just with a bit less screen space used.

When scrolling in compact view, a lot of times the username will be cut short, so we don’t actually get to see any tags until going into a post.

Vger’s search is currently only single select filters: comments, posts, communities, and users.

There is so much low effort content at negative karma. I would like the option to completely hide negative karma posts

Blocking honestly isn’t enough imo. I am up to 13 blocks for one user that constantly makes new accounts under the same name on different instances. Being able to simply filter them out by username would be fantastic.

If I choose All, no more posts load when I get to the bottom. Anybody else, or suggestions on how to solve this? Home works just fine.

It seems to happen after making a comment. Going back to the main app, and then everything is on a grey bg inset over the regular black background. This never occurred until 2 or 3 days ago.

Why do i have to put two newlines and i can’t leave just one?

I am noticing that I have posted pics in communities and now they are showing up as “Failed to load media” and the sad emoji. I am also not able to post pictures or gifs at all anymore. Is there a general reason or a specific reason? I am using Voyager for Android, I’ll see about trying in a browser or on desktop when I get more time. Sorry if this isn’t allowed here, just don’t know who to ask or how. Thank you.

Is there a way to change the download location for media? When I download a video, it goes to /Movies, but that mixes with all my personal stuff and I don’t really want lemmy stuff there. I’ve been moving them manually after the fact but it’d be nice to be able to set the location.

Since a week or two I noticed that image and link posts are broken from Voyager for me. They are created, but it seems they never reach the outer world. Also image posts don’t include the image. I just shared a link post this morning, Voyager provides this link:

Is anyone having issues with loading page 2 or just continuously scrolling on all? It just ends and lets me try to reload but nothing happens. Is it my instance or the app? It’s been happening for a few days now and refreshing the page doesn’t really fix it.

A lot of times I scrolling “all” and want to reply to a comment on something. When I go to fact check and come back, the app was closed and it sends me to the home screen telling me my draft was saved. But the only way to get to that draft is to find that same post and comment again and click reply.

Recently voyager has started to prepend a voyager link in front of sharing links to lemmy posts. Is this behavior new? Why was this change made?

I just realized that the search function doesn’t by default appear to show any posts that have been hidden. I understand how this may be desirable behavior for many who specifically hide posts in order to never see them for spam or other reasons, but since I have the setting enabled to automatically hide all posts as I read them this isn’t desirable behavior for me in case I am searching for something that I may have just read previously (but maybe forgot to save). Is there any way to change this behavior? I’m on iOS.

I know piefed support is experimental. I probably wouldn’t have posted if not for the fact I’ve had no issues logging in with an account I created on piefed.world so thought it might be specific to the instance rather than piefed.

I’ve just found out that some Lemmy web interfaces let you sign in with multiple accounts and switch between them easily. Is there any client that can show notifications from all accounts at the same time, so I don’t need to switch back and forth?

I have no idea if this is technically feasible within Lemmy’s current framework, but I was wondering - has Voyager ever considered adding viewer counts (or “view metrics") to posts and comments on user profile pages?

Wish the app maintained state better. For example, making a post and popping out to browser to copy some text. Often when I return, the Voyager intro screen appears like a cold app start and I’m thrown out onto Home feed, losing my post draft.

Starting a couple of days ago, Voyager couldn’t read my feed from this account (piefed) but I could easily read all local posts. I’ve experienced something similar shortly after some lemmy instances start to get slow (I assume the instances were restarted and flushed the session data).

So, Through this app, I’ve tried changing the text styles into “Bold”, “Italic”, “Strikethrough” by the parallel slide it offers just above the keyboard. But none of them works when Commenting on a post.

Let’s say I’m browsing Home and come across an interesting post by user@a.lemmy in community b.lemmy/c/whatever, while my home instance is c.lemmy. If I use the share button to get a link to the post, which server should it point to?

When I try to save a custom emoji to my gallery, Voyager immediately crashes. This is on Android 11/LineageOS 18.1, Voyager 2.40.1 beta.

This is highly annoying, I sometimes accidentally hit the Posts button at the bottom and it’ll take you to the communities page, but there’s no way to return to your feed, you have to choose one of the feed options at the top which returns you to the 1st page at the top of your feed. And when on the communities page, the back button exits the app. Either make the Posts button return back to your feed, or the back button or just have a back button please.

A couple times now when viewing Local on lemmynsfw.com and blocking a community, my whole feed is marked as read.
