my cats used to be outdoor hell raisers that were causing so many problems for the neighborhood that my neighbors threatened to euthanize them by force; but they’re both terrified of going outside no matter how much i try to bribe them w treats, after i adopted them.
i wish i could figure out what i did to instill such fear in them. lol
That sounds like your neighbors did something. If they threatened to kill them by force, they probably already did some other mean things to them 🙁
a very small part of me can identify with them. my senior cat used to rape any other cat he could get close to and his first human was at her wits end with what to do with him when she offered him to me.
i too would be violently angry if my furbaby was raped by some ultra aggressive indoor/outdoor cat.
