The Telepathy Tapes (hosted by Ky Dickens) makes the false claim that, among others claims, nonverbal autistic children have telepathic abilities and that is revealed through a method called “spelling to communicate.” “Spelling to communicate” is a rebrand of the now discredited therapy method known as Facilitated Communication.

Thank you for posting this. Taking advantage of severely disabled people for clout and money.
Likewise if you see pets on social media “talking” with boards and buttons, that is also basically Facilitated Communication. If you properly blind the participants the illusion falls apart.

Is was so sad to see those earlier experiments. A lot of those people actually thought they were helping those kids. But then when the results became clear they were really shocked and sad to see it was them all along. Often it was just little subconscious nudges.
There were however a lot of people who knew exactly what they were doing, at the cost of those kids. Especially that story about the “kid” claiming he got raped by his father was terrible. It really shows how something with good intentions can spiral out of control real fast.
Fuck those Spelling to communicate people, they should go to jail for the shit they are trying to pull.

Ok. “Professor Dave” debunked “The Telepathy Tapes” claim that non verbal autistic children are telepathic. So The Telepathy Tapes issued a copyright strike against Professor Dave.
Is that correct?
As an autistic person I already knew this with my telepathy /s
Eh? This doesn’t make any sense. Copyright is nothing to do with correctness.
Knowing nothing about any of this, my assumption would be that clips from the podcast were played and then responded to in the debunking. Should be considered fair use, but webhosts tend to be very aggressive with regard to copyright claims.
There doesn’t need to be a copyright violation for a takedown to be issued, especially on Youtube. It’s an automated process with minimal to no consequences for abusing it, and it’s shockingly frequent that it is abused to takedown videos critical of the abuser.
It is a tool for censorship
Ky Dickens is a lying exploiter of vulnerable people.
