I only read science fiction with men as the main heroes, written by men. The few times I've deviated it all turned into emotional musch and was super boring.
I recommend you to read the Nicholas van Rijn stories of Poul Andersson. Excellent stuff!
@h4890 @lgbtqbookstodon @bookstodon @sapphicbooks To each their own. I find some sapphic fiction quite satisfactory and I rarely read male-written anything. Although I will admit to being an F. Paul Wilson Repairman Jack fan.

As an experiment... which female sci/fi authors do you like the least? I am interested in giving it a go, to see if those are female authors I would actually appreciate! =)
@h4890 @lgbtqbookstodon @bookstodon @sapphicbooks I am by NO means an expert because there is little true sci-fi in the sapphic space and I’ve never read much of it. (While I enjoy a spicy read as much as the next queer woman, I don’t want it in my sci-fi, which really narrows the field.) What I have read and liked was This World Is Not Yours by Kemi Ashing-Giwa, The Lady Bane series by Rachel Ford, and The Paladins of the Republic Series by Molly J. Bragg, so maybe poke your nose in those.
@TiffanyEAuthor @lgbtqbookstodon @bookstodon @sapphicbooks Thank you very much for the recommendations.
